NGC 3861是一個位於獅子座的大型棒旋星系，有環狀結構^[2]^[3]^[4]^[3]，距離地球3億光年^[5]^[6]，1827年3月23日由約翰·赫歇爾發現^[7]，屬於獅子座星系團^[2]。NGC 3861是一個低亮度 II型西佛星系^[8]。2014年3月7日，人們在該星系觀測到Ia超新星SN 2014aa^[9]^[10]^[11]。
